Malcolm (2004): We signed Away Our Lives: how one family gave everything for
the Gospel |
Blessed is the
man who trusts in the Lord... He is like a
tree planted by the water, That sends out
its roots by the stream, And does not
fear when the heat comes, For its leaves
remain green, And is not
anxious in the year of drought, For it does not
cease to bear fruit. |
Why Peter Torjesen (Pastor Ye
Yung Ching, Evergreen Leaf) gave himself to Christianity and longing to
spread the good news to the people of |
In 1909, when he
was only 17: he offered all his money and wrote on a piece of paper, Og mit
liv (“And my life”) after a special church meeting about all the places in His Motto for “According to my
earnest expectation and my hope, that is nothing I shall be ashamed, but that
with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my
body, whether it be by life, or by death.” |

Stormie Omartian (2002): The power of a praying woman |
Most women want to grow spiritually and have a deep, strong, vital,
life-changing, faith-filled walk with God according to a survey taken by the
author. We can only develop this kind of intimate relationship with Him by
spending time alone with Him through prayers. The author shows us in her book
various reasons to pray for different goals e.g. for the work we do, for
walking in obedience, for taking us deeper in His Word etc. She also uses
Bible verses to support and strengthen her advice to us regarding prayers. A
“sample” of how we should pray is also provided. This book has served to
inspire me to pray for every aspect of my life. It is what God wants us and
tells us to do - the ultimate reason to pray. |
