Peter Kreeft (??): Between
Heaven and Hell |
Viewpoints on hell and Christ by 3 famous persons: JF Kennedy, CS
Lewis and Aldous Huxley. The book is both humorous and insightful. It is easy
to read but the message conveyed and the arguments depicted are profound! |
What do these 3 persons have in common and how do they differ? |
They all died on Nov 22, 1963 and the book is about an imaginative
conversation between these three characters in a place between heaven and
hell on the day when they died. JF Kennedy represents a humanist; CS Lewis
represents a theist; Aldous Huxley represents a pantheist. They discuss and
debate issues on existence of “hell”, authority and “Christ as divine” etc in
their conversation. |

The author did not directly
answer the question, but through this question the author has make us aware of
how we should read the Gospels. Instead of being a spectator reader, we
should try to project ourselves into those times when reading the Gospels. |
